As the world bids goodbye to 2018, it welcomes in the New Year with anticipation of what it promises to bring. This year has brought some of the most advanced tech of the last few years, and we look forward to new innovations in 2019.

Unique and Useful Tech Innovations

My EMS Solutions wishes everyone a Happy New Year. We hope that this year will bring good fortune, a bright future, and the best electronic products to make your life easier and more convenient.

Over the past few years, we have seen plenty of gadgets and gizmos that were created by enterprising inventors and designers. Some of the tech products were useful, while others were downright wacky. Some became incredibly successful and popular with consumers, but others were so unique that their benefits and desirability were called into question.

Here’s a look at some slightly strange but very useful inventions from recent years:

EyeSeeCam

This device not only looks unusual when it’s sitting on the table, but it also makes you look bizarre when you strap it to your head. Developed by researchers at the University of Munich Hospital, this head-mounted camera is controlled just by moving your eyes. It has many helpful uses, however, both inside and outside of private ownership. One practical use is that it allows doctors to film surgery for teaching purposes. Once the video is taken, you just connect the camera to a laptop to view what has been recorded.

LED Umbrella

Have you ever experienced the difficulty of walking home on a dark and stormy night? To avoid stumbling or tripping in the dark, use this enlightened umbrella with an LED shaft to dispel the darkness.

Self-Propelled Suitcase

If you are one of those people who complain about negotiating a busy airport with heavy luggage in tow, you don’t have to worry anymore. The solution to your problem is a self-propelled suitcase. It will wheel itself up an incline, so you don’t have to exert the extra energy. Its max uphill speed is 3 miles per hour, which is a pretty significant pace. If you’re worried that it will take off without you, you can rest easy; this suitcase powers up only when it is already in motion.

Robot Lawnmower

This gadget is nice for people who don’t have time to mow their lawn. The robot lawnmower can mow your yard without the need for human supervision. It is equipped with ultrasonic sensors to keep it from crashing into things (which means your garden gnomes are safe). It also has a rechargeable battery that needs to be plugged into a charging station. This is much more convenient and eco-friendly than one of those gas guzzling, human-propelled lawnmowers of the past. Additionally, if something goes wrong with the lawnmower, it will send you a text message, so you know when and how to troubleshoot.

These are only a few samples of unique devices invented by some creative geniuses. Just wait for the next electronic conventions, and you’re sure to see even crazier inventions emerge.
